Dallas CASA, a non-profit agency of volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children, seeks a full-time Public Relations and Communications Manager. Responsibilities include developing and implementing external public relations and communications campaigns to raise public awareness about the needs of abused children and the role of Dallas CASA to generate volunteerism and other long-term relationships and support for Dallas CASA. Will develop and cultivate relationships with media representatives, pitch story ideas, coordinate interviews and follow up as needed to achieve frequent and consistent media coverage. Will write and edit promotional and informational materials, including press releases, media pitches, e-news and print newsletter, print and email promotional materials, website, online and social media content. Will update website and manage social media marketing program. Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism or communications preferred. Must have impeccable writing and editing skills to be able to communicate compelling messaging, as well as strong verbal and presentation skills. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, web and social media technologies.
